The Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) has launched a strategic technical initiative in Ulaanbaatar, uniting thirteen specialized machinery makers to modernize Mongolia’s fiber processing sector. This diplomatic and industrial forum focuses on enhancing the quality of native raw materials, particularly indigenous cashmere and wool. Market data indicates that spinning machinery leads the bilateral equipment demand, accounting for 35 percent of total export volume from Italy to Mongolia, followed by laundry systems at 21 percent and finishing apparatus at 14 percent.

Mongolian textile manufacturers have long faced operational challenges in scaling high-value finished goods for global markets. By integrating advanced European automation, local factories can reduce resource consumption while significantly elevating product purity and overall quality.

Marco Salvadè, President of ACIMIT, noted that these specialized technologies are structured to assist local operators in upgrading production lines and maximizing the commercial value of native textile exports. Industry leaders emphasize that adopting these precision systems bridges the critical gap between raw fiber harvesting and luxury garment delivery.

This collaborative program serves as a precursor to major global showcases such as ITMA Hannover 2027, integrating Central Asian producers deeper into international supply chains. Analysts project that sustained technical cooperation will deliver long-term economic dividends while expanding high-margin apparel capabilities across the region.

Founded in 1945, ACIMIT represents approximately 200 enterprises that account for 85 percent of Italy's textile machinery industrial turnover. Operating globally across 130 markets, the organization continues to promote advanced engineering, sustainable manufacturing standards, and customized industrial solutions worldwide.
